Our Growth Metrics

Our growth is driven by impact-focused training, nationwide programme expansion, community empowerment, and over 3,000 individuals equipped with sustainable agricultural skills, reinforcing our commitment to scaling knowledge-based, integrated, and climate-smart agricultural development across Nigeria.

Our Selected Growth Metrics

  • 2017–2019: Successfully graduated two cohorts of students from the 2-year Diploma in Agribusiness Management programme.
  • 2020: Secured a slot in the Small Research Grant by Young African Researchers in Agriculture (YARA) to study the impact of COVID-19 on food production systems in rural Nigeria.
  • 2020: Delivered two sessions of a 2-day capacity-building seminar for youths, women, and agri-interested individuals, with about 150 participants in attendance.
  • 2020: Conducted two sessions of climate change training for smallholder farmers, reaching about 200 farmers.
  • 2020: Facilitated three sessions of 5-day NIRSAL-CBN AGSMEIS training for farmers, engaging 30 participants.
  • 2020: Hosted a 1-day upskill training for farmers with 25 participants.
  • 2021: Partnered with the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (Kwara Chapter) to deliver a climate change adaptation training for 30 participants, who were expected to cascade the training to others in their Local Government Areas.
  • 2021: Organized a personal economy diversification in agriculture training for women’s empowerment in Nigeria, with 60 women participating.
  • 2021: Awarded a Catalyst Grant from the Roddenberry Foundation (USA) to develop the SOFADRICLIMATE App—a web-based digital climate advisory platform for farmers Visit App
  • 2022: The SOFADRICLIMATE App won the People’s Choice Award in the SCALE Creative Adaptation Awards by Mercy Corps, Save the Children, and USAID. View Award
  • 2022: Received the ReFinD Proposal Development Grant to study barriers to digital financial services market entry in Nigeria. Read more
  • 2023: Upgraded the SOFADRICLIMATE App into a bundled agricultural climate service platform, integrating climate information with weather-index insurance.
  • 2023: Successfully scaled the SOFADRICLIMATE App to 12 states in Nigeria, and later expanded to 20 states within the same year.
  • 2025: Secured ReFinD Pilot Grant to explore interventions to address barriers to digital financial services market entry in Nigeria.
